Section A: Project
Work in groups of six. Each group should
choose a different English-speaking country.
1
In your group, make notes on these topics for
your country:
a
Geography of the country
b
Capital city/other important cities
c
Form of government/language(s)
d
School system
e
Economic activities
f
National symbol(s)/famous sites.
2
Each member of the group chooses one of the
topics. Find out more information about each
topic and look for pictures on the Internet.
3
Each group prints the best two pictures for each
topic and makes a poster about their country.
4
Hang your posters on the classroom walls and
present your information to the rest of the
class.
5
Each group writes an announcement for an
exhibition on English-speaking countries, called
‘Snapshots from the English-Speaking World’.
6
With the other groups, vote for the best
announcement. Use it to invite other classes to
your exhibition.
