SECTION 1
Communicating technical information
I
n present-day industry, technical
information is usually communicated
by means of engineering drawings.
They are the international language of
engineering.
Engineering drawing is a system of
communication in which ideas are
expressed exactly: even the most
complicated shapes are specifically
described. An engineering drawing is a
two-dimensional visual representation
of a three-dimensional object which
functions as a universal means of communication
in industry.
There are several types of drawings, such as:
design
layout
,
detail, assembly, combined,
arrangement drawings, but all of them must
be clear, accurate and convey

information
about specific defined elements, such as:

production methods.
