Teaching and assessing writing at B1 and B2 levels

Writing in English is probably the weakest skill in Italy. In order to communicate in any language we need to be able to write emails, letters, messages, stories and essays. With this in mind, in this session we will look at ways of teaching and assisting students with this “forgottten skill”.




Richard Twigg is a freelance teacher and teacher trainer with 20 years teaching experience and he has been in EFL since 2005. Until recently he was Director/Academic Director at International House Milan, and he has taught in the U.K. and was the Director of Studies of IH Malta, where he completed his DELTA in 2007. Richard set up and managed the IDP IELTS test centre in Milan for both the paper-based and computer delivered tests
