Feeding two birds with one scone: exam skills in real life

As teachers, we know that exam preparation can be so much more than talking about strategies and going through past papers. Using examples from the new 4th edition of Ready for B2 First, we’ll look at how this type of course can help students develop valuable life and work skills, such a time management, organization, reflection, setting and reaching goals, as well as, of course, developing their ability to listen, read, write and speak effectively in English. This session aims to reveal the hidden value in exam preparation and discuss how we can make our students more aware of the variety of competencies and transferable skills they can develop through this type of course.

Ethan Mansur is the author of the teacher’s book for the 4th edition of Ready for B2 First.
