Russell Stannard highlights ways to assess students online. From basic formative assessments through quizzes and tests to the use of E-Portfolios, Russell takes you through practical examples of how he assesses students on his online courses. It’s a talk full of ideas including a look at reflection, peer and self-evaluation.




Russell Stannard started teaching English in Greece in 1987. He later spent 11 years in Spain as Director of Studies of International House Seville. He also began to work with publishers producing materials for Macmillan.  Russell runs the award winning website, Teacher Training Videos. He is currently working with the British Council in India and China as well as working on a European Union project called ‘Video for All’.
