The global pandemic of 2020 unleashed enormous change in the ways we approach students and manage the classroom. Teachers have been forced to adapt to a litany of new technologies and tools.  And as we begin to look beyond the pandemic, Russell Stannard investigates which of these technologies will remain- and what will likely be lost.




Russell Stannard started teaching English in Greece in 1987. He later spent 11 years in Spain as Director of Studies of International House Seville. He also began to work with publishers producing materials for Macmillan.  Russell runs the award winning website, Teacher Training Videos. He is currently working with the British Council in India and China as well as working on a European Union project called ‘Video for All’.Roy has been writing for Macmillan for almost 20 years, and is the author of Straight to First, Ready for First and Straightforward Advanced, and co-author of Ready for Advanced.
