Brainstorming
Use a monolingual dictionary to look for the meaning of these verbs:
to bend, to fold,
to stretch, to resist, to deform.
As they may have more than one meaning (homonyms) decide which
meaning will be relevant in the context of “materials”. Then find other words, (nouns, adjectives etc.) that
derive from these verbs (always in this context). Translate them.

FORMS OF MATERIALS
Materials can be found in a wide range of shapes and
sizes. Common forms range from:
powder
, granules,
liquids,
sheet
,
slabs

,
bars
and
rods

.
The malleability of a material shows its ability to be
formed, and it is related to the strength of the material and
to its ductility. Temperature as well can affect a material
and its form. For example a sheet of polypropylene can
be formed into a complex shape when it is heated in a
vacuum former.
1
slab
: a large thick flat, generally square or rectangular,
piece of material
2
rod
: thin straight bar
